Your Fake Little Life

by | Jun 13, 2022

You live a false life
In your fake world
But it’s not hard to see
That your truth is swirled

You’re playing the part
So let’s play pretend
You’re walking a road
A road with no end

You chase after trends
You want to be seen
But you move like a pawn
A pawn far from the queen

It more than a fantasy
Please land back on earth
You’re spending too much
Much more than you’re worth

Addicted to likes
You heart and you follow
Hiding the fact
That you’re really hollow

You share with us all
You’re pretty life
But deep down it hurts,
It stabs like a knife

You go home at night
And take down your veil
You fall and you cry
You wonder and fail

You don’t wanna show
The true story inside
To not even yourself,
But it’s too late to hide

You smile and laugh
You’re on a fake high
Event right now
You wanna deny

Sure you’ve got passions
I’m sure you have fun
But before it’s over
It’s hardly begun

Worried about thoughts
You act only to please
Why not just take it
Down on your knees

Your hopes and your dreams
You’ve given up
You entered the race
But you lost the cup

Ever since then
You’ve decide to play
Your life is the hunter
And you’re now it’s prey

Your so quick to judge
Where there’s a story behind
But you’ll never ask
Because you live in your mind

Broken and damaged
It hurts to believe
So your fake little life
Is the ace up your sleeve

Read this and cringe
You’ll get mad at me
But keep living your life
And soon you will see

You’ll hate me and say
That I’m full of shit
But it’s you who’s at stake
I know…, it’s hard to admit

Deep down within
You know that I’m right
There’s truth in these words
These words that I write
